Yatra beginning from Tirupati will end in Srikakulam on December 28
The ‘yatra’ espousing the cause of integrated State would pass through Chittoor, Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa, Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna, West and East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and will end in Srikakulam on December 28.
Police permission
A Telugu Desam Party spokesman said all arrangements have been made for the ‘yatra’.
The district party presidents have been asked to take permission from the police for plying three vans fitted with mikes and loudspeakers to enable these leaders to address the people.
Meanwhile, party’s Polit Bureau member, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu took exception to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement blaming the opposition parties in the State for changing their stand on Telangana.
In a statement, Mr. Ramakrishnudu said the Centre took unilateral decision on a delicate issue suddenly without proper discussion among MPs, Central Ministers, MLAs or even with Chief Minister, K. Rosaiah. The UPA partners too were not taken into confidence. It was unfortunate that the Prime Minister instead of accepting these mistakes was passing on the blame to other parties.
